Sharon has a degree in Philosophy, and a Masters in Intellectual Property and Cultural Heritage Law, from University College London.


She commenced training in private practice in 2002. She qualified as a UK and EU Trade Mark Attorney in 2006, and also qualified as an Irish Trade Mark Agent in 2016. Sharon completed the Certificate in Intellectual Property Litigation and Advocacy at Nottingham Trent University in 2016 and was awarded the Hogarth Prize. She joined Maucher Jenkins in 2018.


Sharon was listed as a "rising star" in the MIP survey for 2017.

She has experience of managing trade mark portfolios for a range of clients from start-ups, to long-established businesses with registrations in more than 60 countries. She advises on clearance searching, filing strategy, oppositions and other inter parties matters before the UK IPO and EU IPO, and has managed litigation in the UK and overseas, including counterfeiting issues.


Sharon has worked with clients particularly in the publishing, media and software fields, and has experience in advising in connection with everything from online fashion retailers to motorcycles.


Prior to training as an Attorney, Sharon worked in legal publishing, and as an Information Manager in a Patent and Trade Mark Firm.


Interests outside of work:


Sharon enjoys history of art, gallery visits and art tours abroad, crafts, Pilates, Nordic Walking, Chi Kung.
