Technical Assistant - Patents
BSc Astrophysics (QMUL); MSc Management of Intellectual Property and Post-Graduate Certificate in IP (QMUL)
Oksana joined the firm in 2018 as a Technical Assistant in the firm’s patents group, and she is working towards becoming a qualified patent attorney.
Oksana has a BSc in Astrophysics from Queen Mary University of London. She also has a MSc Management of Intellectual Property and Post-Graduate Certificate in IP from Queen Mary University of London.
For her 3rd year dissertation, Oksana used N-body simulations in FORTRAN77 to model the orbits of Jupiter and other celestial bodies to investigate the origin of the eccentricity currently observed in Jupiter's orbit. She was then required to explore the concept of gravitational scattering as a possible cause and extrapolate this to a hypothetical planet some astronomical units away to see if this phenomenon was applicable independent of orbital size.
In her spare time Oksana enjoys reading, singing, playing the piano and violin.
