Kei joined Maucher Jenkins in 2005 after having worked in private practice in a firm specialised in Intellectual Property Law in Paris.
In addition to her chemistry background, Kei has acquired extensive experience in a wide variety of technological fields, in particular in medical devices and packaging, but also in pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, veterinary sciences, food technology, material sciences, polymers, analytical devices and industrial sciences.
Kei advises clients around the world in connection with British and European patents and designs. Her knowledge of the Japanese language and culture is appreciated by the firm's Japanese clients and Kei travels frequently to Japan and lectures in Japanese. She has lectured on aspects of UK and European IP law in seminars organised by Maucher Jenkins and the Japanese Patent Attorneys Association (JPAA), as well as with the Department for International Trade UK (DTI) [formerly the UKTI] in Japan and has lectured at its pharmaceutical events in Tokyo and Osaka.
Also as a French national, Kei advises, offers training and lectures to French-speaking clients. Kei also spent time working as an in-house consultant for a major multinational pharmaceutical company in Switzerland, where she assisted in the development of its European IP Department.
