Dr. Britta Fischer began working in the intellectual property protection sector in 2000 in the patents department of an international car manufacturing group, and has many years of professional experience in industry and law firms. She has been a representative to the European Patent Office since 2004, and was certified as a patent solicitor by the German Patent and Trade Mark Office in 2006. She is also authorised to act as a representative to the Swiss Patent and Trade Mark Office (IGE).
Her professional focus lies in particular in drafting and defending patent applications in the areas of electrical technology, physics, mechanical engineering and computer-implemented inventions, leading appeal and violation proceedings, and writing expert opinions. Dr. Britta Fischer also advises in the area of employee invention law.
Dr. Britta Fischer was a member of the Examinations Committee for the European Qualifying Examination and subsequently a CEIPI tutor for several years.
