On 5 December 2020 Maucher Jenkins partner Handong Ran, invited by the Career Office of the School of Transnational Law at Peking University, visited the campus in Shenzhen and shared with students the career path of an IP lawyer.
During the seminar, Mr. Ran talked about his own experience as a Chartered Patent Attorney and European Patent Attorney, and analysed the differences between the legal career paths in China and Europe.
First, Mr. Ran gave valuable advice to the students of the School of Translational Law on ways to improve their legal proficiency, for example;
Furthermore, Mr. Ran also shed light on how to acquire transferable skills in the workplace, for instance;
The participants were all active in raising questions and engaging in discussions, creating a lively atmosphere for the visit.
