Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Intellectual Property Trade Expo 2019

 

From Nov. 12th to 14th, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Intellectual Property Trade Expo 2019 “IP Expo” was held at Nanfeng Langham Place in Guangzhou. It was co-sponsored by the Guangdong Administration for Market Regulation (Guangdong Intellectual Property Administration), the Guangzhou Municipal People's Government, the Hong Kong Special Administration Region Intellectual Property Department and the Macao Special Administration Region Economic Bureau. The event was co-organized by the Guangdong Intellectual Property Protection Centre, Guangzhou Administration for Market Regulation (Guangzhou Intellectual Property Administration) and Management Committee of Guangzhou Economic Development Zone.

 

A grand event in intellectual property field in Greater Bay, the conference aims to promote the intellectual property rights protection in Greater Bay Area, to create a market-oriented, law-abiding and international business environment, and to provide more convenient and efficient services of higher quality.

 

With a focus on “Intellectual Property Transaction Operation”, the 2019 IP Expo had a keynote speech on “Global Trade Liberalization and Integration of Greater Bay Area Innovation and Development” and 12 sub-forums respectively on:

• “Intellectual Property Operation & City Construction Promotes Industrial Development”
• “Intellectual Property & Science and Technology Board”
• “Intellectual Property Financial Innovation and Business Environment Summit”
• “Trademark and Brand Value”
• “Intellectual Property Information Service and Transfer and Conversion by Universities and Research Institutes”
• “Intellectual Property Investment and Financing and Securitization”
• “Copyright Strategy and Cultural and Creative Industry Development”
• "Non-litigation Resolution for Intellectual Property Disputes in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area"
• "International Intellectual Property Operation Dialogue"
• "Geographical Indications Summit"
• "Women Intellectual Property Leadership "
• "Intellectual Property in the 5G Era".

 

In addition to those forums, this IP Expo had more than 300 exhibitors in six exhibition areas, namely, Intellectual Property Operation Service Area, Patent Technology Trading Area, Trademark & Brand Trading Area, Geographical Indication Products Exhibition Area, Copyright & Cultural Industry Trading Area and International Intellectual Property Area, in which deals of some 1.7 billion RMB were closed.
