Maucher Jenkins is excited to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the merger between RGC Jenkins & Co and Maucher, Börjes & Kollegen. The two firms combined in August 2012, bringing together intellectual property forces from across both Germany and the UK to create a truly Anglo-German firm.
The merger ensured we had a proper foundation in both the German and UK market, adding an office in Freiburg to our already existing presence in Munich. This move was a particularly good fit as it also allowed for access to the triangle of France, Germany, and Switzerland.
Over the past ten years, the firm has gone on to grow further, both geographically and in headcount. Maucher Jenkins now has offices in London, Freiburg, Farnham, Munich, Upper Franconia, Edinburgh, Cambridge, Basel, Beijing, and Shenzhen, meaning the firm is well-placed to serve clients in multiple intellectual property hubs around the globe.
Beyond locations, it is important to remember that at the core of any institution are its people. Most recently, we welcomed back Dr. Andreas Geißler who is in charge of Maucher Jenkins’ Upper Franconia/Kulmbach branch. We also welcomed Christine Schrempp to our patent litigation team in Freiburg. As it stands, the firm now has 16 partners and 43 highly qualified professionals with a range of expertise across areas including engineering & physics; IT, software, electronics & AI; life sciences; consumer products; media; green energy; and nanotechnology.
