Overview:

Philipp Nordmeyer has been a Partner at Maucher Jenkins since January 1, 2025, bringing extensive experience in advising and representing national and international companies in all areas of patent law. His practice focuses on the strategic development of effective and enforceable intellectual property portfolios. He represents clients in opposition and appeal proceedings, nullity actions, and patent litigation before the European Patent Office (EPO), the German Patent and Trade Mark Office (DPMA), the Federal Patent Court (BPatG), the Federal Court of Justice (BGH), and the Unified Patent Court (UPC).

Philipp’s technical expertise covers a broad range of disciplines, including applied physics, semiconductor technology, mechanical engineering, medical technology, automotive engineering, optics, information technology, electrical engineering, electronics, and electroacoustics.

He studied physics at the Technical University of Berlin, the University of Göttingen, the Technical University of Budapest, and Uppsala University. He trained as a German Patent Attorney and European Patent Attorney at Maikowski & Ninnemann in Berlin and Dummett Copp in England, as well as at the Mannheim District Court. In 2005, he was admitted as a German Patent Attorney, European Patent Attorney, European Trade Mark Attorney, and European Design Attorney. Before joining Maucher Jenkins, Philipp worked as a patent attorney at Hoffmann Eitle in Munich and later as a partner at df-mp.

In addition to his legal practice, Philipp has been a lecturer in patent law at the Munich University of Applied Sciences since 2012 and regularly delivers lectures on current patent law topics.
