Overview:

Miao Wang joined Maucher Jenkins in January 2026 as a Patent Engineer in Freiburg and is pursuing admission as a European Patent Attorney.

She studied electrical engineering with a focus on electrical energy systems at the University of Kassel. During her studies, she worked as a research assistant at the Fraunhofer IEE and wrote her master’s thesis in the field of electromobility.

After graduating, she worked as a research associate at the University of Kassel, gaining research experience in the areas of electromobility and connected driving.

Since December 2021, she has been working on her doctoral thesis at the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW) Villingen-Schwenningen as part of a collaborative project with the University of the Bundeswehr Munich, focusing on cloud and blockchain applications for mobility and transportation.

Her particular interests encompass all areas of engineering, especially electromobility, green energy, and medical technology.

Interests outside of work:

She plays the piano, loves traveling, and is passionate about photography. She especially enjoys sailing trips on the sea. In addition, she likes hiking and is currently learning to ski. Occasionally, she also takes part in indoor skydiving. She is also interested in fashion.
