Overview:
Daniel is a Senior Associate in the Patents team and joined Maucher Jenkins in 2025. He has over a decade of varied experience having initially worked in the public sector before spending over eight years working in private practice for international law firms.
Daniel’s practice predominantly involves drafting and prosecuting patent applications in a range of technical fields, including automotive and aerospace systems, medical devices, electro-optic arrangements, neural networks, and software implemented inventions. He has significant experience working with clients of all sizes and has acted in a variety of ex parte and inter partes proceedings, including revocation actions before the UKIPO and oral proceedings before the Boards of Appeal of the EPO.
Before entering the profession, Daniel graduated from the University of Birmingham with a degree in Theoretical Physics. More recently, he has focused on contentious disputes and graduated from the University of Strasbourg with a diploma on Patent Litigation in Europe and qualified as a Higher Courts Litigator following a course at Nottingham Law School.

Outside of work, Daniel enjoys playing the piano, acting and gaming.
