Trainee & Graduate Opportunities

As a trainee, you’ll take on interesting and varied work across a range of technologies and industries.

Overview

At Maucher Jenkins, we recruit exceptional graduates to train as patent and trademark attorneys. Every September, we welcome a group of talented trainees to join our patent and trademark teams in the UK and Germany. We offer a competitive salary, excellent benefits, and comprehensive training and support to help you succeed.

To qualify as a Chartered Patent Attorney (UK), German Patent Attorney, or European Patent Attorney, you’ll need a relevant degree with at least upper second-class honours. A PhD or industry experience is a plus. Once qualified, you’ll become an Associate, working closely with partners and clients while building your own client base.

For those training to become a Chartered Trade Mark Attorney, you’ll support some of the world’s most recognizable brands as a trainee. After qualifying, you’ll advise on all aspects of trademark law, from searches and filings to portfolio management and infringement matters. Our litigation team works with international clients, guiding them from protecting their rights to enforcement.

We’re looking for driven individuals with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, commercial awareness, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You’ll need the commitment to deliver top-notch client service while studying for and passing professional exams.

Becoming a qualified patent or trademark attorney is challenging, but at Maucher Jenkins, we provide a supportive and friendly environment to help you reach your goals.
