The firm was originally founded by Friedrich Thalmann in Denzlingen, close to Freiburg.

1937

RGC Jenkins & Co, UK

RGC Jenkins & Co was founded by Richard George Christopher Jenkins, who was also a famous Corinthian footballer. The firm was based in Chancery Lane in London.

1960

Maucher Börjes, Germany

Wolfgang Maucher joined the team lending his name to the firm. The growing team moved first to Stadtstraße in Freiburg and then to Dreikönigstraße also in Freiburg in the 1970s.

1987

RGC Jenkins & Co, UK

Following an earlier move to Fetter Lane, the fast-expanding firm moved to Caxton Street in London.

1989

Maucher Börjes, Germany

Henrich Börjes-Pestalozza expanded the firm’s services to include industrial property rights, copyright law and all related aspects of law.

1992

RGC Jenkins & Co, UK

In 1992 RGC Jenkins & Co was awarded the Queen’s Award for Export Achievement

The firm opened an office in Munich close to the European Patent Office (EPO).

2003

RGC Jenkins & Co, UK

Also saw the first ever Community Design which was filed by RGC Jenkins partner, David Musker.

2006

Maucher Börjes, Germany

The firm’s continuous growth required a further move to much bigger offices in Urachstraße in Freiburg.

The firm opened an office in Beijing to be more accessible to our Chinese clients.

The firm also opened an office in Farnham to serve clients based in the South East of England.

2012

RGC Jenkins & Co and Maucher Börjes joined forces in Germany as Maucher Börjes Jenkins.

2013

Maucher Jenkins

Maucher Jenkins opened an office in Basel, Switzerland.

2016

Maucher Jenkins

RGC Jenkins & Co and Maucher Börjes Jenkins combined to become Maucher Jenkins. The newly merged firm was launched at the AIPPI World Congress in Milan that year.

Also the firm opened satellite offices in Cambridge and Edinburgh.

For years, we have been providing information on various topics in the field of industrial property protection as part of a series of events. The aim of our events is to enable all interested parties to exchange information in a relaxed and professional atmosphere.

IP DAY

We organise our one-day IP DAY seminar several times a year. We always invite high-profile guest speakers to this event, who share valuable experiences from their day-to-day work in a guest lecture. In addition, lectures are offered by our patent attorneys and attorneys-at-law. The event is particularly aimed at employees of companies who deal with IP issues in their day-to-day work. The event offers our guests a variety of opportunities to discuss open questions after the respective lectures, but also in a relaxed atmosphere between or after the lectures.

IP HAPPY HOUR

As part of the IP HAPPY HOUR series of events, we offer our guests the opportunity to inform themselves about topics related to intellectual property in a relaxed atmosphere over snacks and drinks. The approximately half-hour lectures are designed to provide basic knowledge in the field of IP, with a particular focus on practical issues related to the registration of intellectual property rights.
