Overview:
Before joining the firm, Yiming gained extensive experience in patent prosecution and intellectual property support across both the public and private sectors. As a Chinese Patent Examiner at the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA), he conducted substantive examinations of electronic circuitry patents, specializing in RF circuits and channel coding for telecommunications technologies.
Transitioning into intellectual property project management, Yiming played a key role in handling cross-border IP disputes, providing litigation support, and delivering strategic insights through patent landscape analyses and freedom-to-operate (FTO) reports. His work spanned various industries, including electric vehicles and sustainable energy.
Yiming holds an MSc in Management of Intellectual Property from Queen Mary University of London, funded by the prestigious Herchel Smith Scholarship. He also earned dual master’s degrees in electrical engineering, focusing on electrical machines and renewable energy systems.
Outside of work, Yiming enjoys cycling, birdwatching, and exploring historical literature and museums.
