Overview:
Pooja joined Maucher Jenkins as the firm’s first Patent Paralegal in June 2023.
She studied Law with Criminology and graduated in 2023.
Pooja completed a placement year with the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) and worked in their Commercial Services department as a commercial analyst and IP assistant. This is where she was first introduced to intellectual property with drafting IP related agreements and licenses. Pooja also acquired legal IP experience working in the IP department liaising with large TV production companies regarding MET trademarks and copyright requests.
She also worked alongside Blake Morgan LLP (in her placement year) to clean the MPS IP portfolio and assisted in re-organising MPS IP internal processes. Pooja was heavily involved with corporate projects for large MPS suppliers such as Banner Group UK Ltd.
Pooja completed various courses and obtained certificates/accreditations from the Government Commercial Function such as the Foundation Accredited Contract Manager Badge.
