Maucher Jenkins Partner Handong Ran invited to give a lecture at Guangdong Overseas IP Protection Professionals Training Programme

On 16 September 2023, the first phase of Guangdong Province Overseas Intellectual Property Protection Professionals Training Programme was successfully held at Kexing Science Park International Convention Centre in Shenzhen.

Under the direction of Guangdong Administration for Market Regulation (Guangdong Intellectual Property Administration), organised by Guangdong Advisory Center for Overseas Intellectual Property Dispute Settlement and Guangdong Overseas Intellectual Property Protection Promotion Association (GDOIP), the training programme aimed to strengthen the cultivation of intellectual property protection capacities of IP professionals in Guangdong.

Mr. Handong Ran, Partner and Head of Maucher Jenkins China, was invited to present a lecture on patent protection in European. Handong shared topics including European patent opposition and invalidation practice, UPC influence on European patent litigation, and precaution of IP infringement dispute and its settlement strategy on European exhibition, which attracted nearly a hundred of IP professionals to participate.

After the lecture, people in the audience actively participated in the Q&A session, creating a lively atmosphere for the training activity.
