Partner lectures in a webinar on European patent opposition procedures and invalidation strategies

On November 30, 2021, Mr. Handong Ran, Partner and Head of Maucher Jenkins China, was invited to speak at an interactive online training on European patent opposition procedures and invalidation strategies.

Organized by the China (Shenzhen) Intellectual Property Protection Center, the Shenzhen Branch of the National Overseas Intellectual Property Dispute Response Center, and the WIPO Technology and Innovation Support Center (TISC), this training session aims to help Chinese enterprises and institutions to better cope with risks in the overseas patent management and to avoid infringement effectively.

With those online participants, Handong shared the patent opposition and invalidation practice at the EPO, and highlighted suggestions on how using the opposition and invalidation strategies could enable Chinese enterprises to set in place risk warning mechanisms during the patent applications or after the grant of the patents.
