The First “Maritime Silk Road” Intellectual Property Innovation and International Cooperation Forum
On August 5, 2019, the first “Maritime Silk Road” Intellectual Property Innovation and International Cooperation Forum was held in Zhuhai, Guangdong, China. The event was hosted by the Guangdong Intellectual Property Research Association and the Huafa Qiqinxian National Intellectual Property Operation Platform, and co-hosted by the Guangdong Intellectual Property Protection Center, Zhuhai Municipal Market Supervision Administration (Zhuhai Municipal Intellectual Property Office), the China-US Intellectual Property Association, Asian Innovation and Intellectual Property Rights Exchange Association and the Macao Trademark Association.
The conference guests had a lively discussion around the following topics:
- The impact of Sino-US trade wars on international intellectual property and technology transfer;
- The IPR latest development and practices of nations along the “Maritime Silk Road”;
- Introduction and sharing of high-quality IPR projects in Dawan District, consisting of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau.
