Overview:

Benjamin Zang has been with Maucher Jenkins since 2025 and is a qualified European Patent Attorney. He brings extensive industrial experience from development projects in the automotive, medical technology, aerospace, and shipbuilding sectors.

He completed his degree in industrial engineering with a focus on production technology and automotive engineering at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in 2011. During his studies, he completed an internship abroad at Bosch China in the Electrical Drives division and wrote his diploma thesis at Robert Bosch GmbH in Karlsruhe.

From 2012 to 2016, Benjamin Zang worked as a project engineer, senior consultant, and trainer at 3DSE Management Consultants GmbH. He then worked as a freelance project engineer in product development and as a trainer for systems engineering.

Since February 2021, he has been active in intellectual property law, specializing in European and German patent prosecution and opposition proceedings. In 2024, he was admitted as a European Patent Attorney and is currently completing his training to become a German Patent Attorney.

Interests outside of work:

In his spare time, Benjamin Zang enjoys road cycling in the mountains and cross-country running.
