On 23 April 2020, Shenzhen Nanshan Overseas Intellectual Property Collaborative Service Platform was successfully launched. A launch event took place at the Nanshan Intellectual Property Protection Centre, at which Maucher Jenkins was represented, and Maucher Jenkins Partner Handong Ran appeared via video-link.
According to the Report on the Overseas Expansion of Intellectual Property in Nanshan District released at the event, the number of overseas applications for patents originally applied in Nanshan District has reached 584.1 / 10,000 people. This is 4.7 times that of Shenzhen and nearly 70 times that of China on average. The number of PCT patent applications in 2019 was 7,351, accounting for 42.1% of those in Shenzhen and 12.9% of those in China.
