Lessons to be learned from the well-publicised Trunki case

The decision by the UK Supreme Court to rule in favour of defendant PMS over Magmatic, owner of the Trunki, has become widely discussed in the world of designs due to the consequences this may have on registered Community designs in the future, not least the ability of copycats to avoid design infringement through surface decoration.
