The Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys (ITMA) is now an officially chartered body, becoming The Chartered Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys (CITMA) on the day of its 82nd Anniversary.

 

Today, ITMA not only celebrates its 82nd birthday, but also the landmark achievement of being awarded this rare honour by The Queen at a meeting of The Privy Council for its important role in representing the specialist work of trade mark attorneys in the United Kingdom. Chartered Trade Mark Attorneys must pass a rigorous examination process and training programme, thus this achievement for ITMA demonstrates the high professional standards of the organisation and its members.
